The county treasurer urges those who qualify to check-out the "homestead" program.

Highland County residents should be looking for their property tax bills in January, although the exact date isn't known yet.

County Treasurer Vickie Warnock also says the disabled or those 65 or older can apply for a program called "Homestead," which will place a deduction on the property tax. Applications are available at the treasure's office. Before property taxes are mailed in January, Highland County residents should see if they qualify for a program called "Homestead."

For more information, call the treasurer's office at (937) 393-9951.
