The U.S. House Speaker campaigned for Mitt Romney Monday

U.S. House Speaker John Boehner, of Ohio, made an appearance in Chillicothe ahead of the Tuesday election. The Republican, who is lending his support to the Romney-Ryan ticket, said President Obama failed to keep his promises of reducing the deficit, reducing unemployment, and promoting bipartisanship.

Despite this, however, Boehner said there is hope for America.

"Why? Because Americans have had the freedom to succeed, the freedom to try, the freedom to innovate, and we've also had the freedom to fail," he said, "but in American, you don't ever have to fail; you can always get up, dust yourself off, and try again."

Boehner said Mitt Romney, as President, would lead the nation to positive change.

"Mitt Romney understands what it takes to create jobs because he's created jobs; he also understands what big government can do to get in the way of job creators around the country," said Boehner.

Boehner and other Republican officials spoke at the Madison on Paint, Monday.
