Fight Leads to Injuries-Arrests

Hillsboro Police charged two men involved ina Sunday afternoon altercation, that involved a knife

Two Hillsboro area men were both injured and arrested after an altercation Sunday afternoon, where one of the subjects was cut by a knife.

Police were called to Tower Drive at about 5pm, where 42-year-old William Elkins and 45-year-old Shane Frost were fighting. An investigation by officers determined that Frost had come at Elkins in an aggressive manner, leading to Elkins pulling a small pocket knife to defend himself. During a struggle, Frost was cut by the knife and both men continued to fight until officers arrived- detaining both.

Shane Frost was taken to Highland Memorial Hospital, then later transferred to Miami Valley Hospital for observation, while Elkins was treated at Highland Memorial.

Elkins was charged with Reckless Assault and Frost with Assault.
