Expecting moms are vulnerable to flu
Flu shots are safe for pregnant women and it’s not just mom who will benefit: baby will, too.
Dr. Susan Rehm of the Cleveland Clinic says a pregnant woman’s best defense against the flu is a flu shot, which is safe to get at anytime during pregnancy, during any trimester.
Having people around the baby protected also helps, and it's called "cocooning."
She adds pregnant women should only get the flu shot and not the nasal mist.
