Most of their concern was for the Liberty Park area

Hillsboro City Council met on Tuesday evening October 9th as Monday the 8th was Columbus Day.

The meeting was business as usual until the Citizen Comments portion. A spokesman for the self titled "Concerned Citizens of Hillsboro and Highland County" expressed concerns over lights being turned off at Liberty Park, streets needing painting, and the loss of code enforcement.

These issues were due to budget cuts, according to Council President Lee Koogler.

Council will convene in November on the second Tuesday rather than the second Monday due to the Veterans Day holiday.
