The Hollywood Casiono-Columbus i open for business

(AP)  Ohio's newest and largest casino is set to open today. The $400 million Hollywood Casino Columbus opens to the public amid growing competition.

The casino on the west side of Columbus sits just about 10 miles from the first Ohio horse racing track to get slots-like gambling machines. The facility owned by Penn National Gaming Inc. boasts about 3,000 slot machines, a poker room and other table games. It also has event spaces and four restaurants.

Casino operators expect to draw 3 million visitors a year. It is the third of four voter-approved casinos in Ohio. Casinos in Cleveland and Toledo opened several months ago, and one in downtown Cincinnati debuts next spring.
