The Fayette County Tea Party has canceled the Local Candidates Night scheduled for October 11th.
The FCTP, a non-partisan group, promoting limited government, fiscal responsibility and free markets, has traditionally sponsored candidate nights for local elections and issues.
Since one of their goals is to hear all candidates' voices, they have elected to cancel the event since Democrat candidates Robert Armstrong, 92nd Ohio District, and Bob Steele, County Commissioner, have declined to participate or chose not to respond to the invitation.
This would deprive local citizens of a chance to hear both sides in the contests.
