Since 1947 the Marines have been making Christmas wishes come true
As the holiday season approaches quickly, you can be sure that your local U.S Marine Corps Reserves "Toys for Tots" Coordinator is gearing up for this year's Toys for Tots campaign. Since 1947, Marines have been making Christmas wishes come true for needy children.
The Toys for Tots, in Fayette County, makes a difference in the lives of the less fortunate children of our communities. Last year about 400 children in the Fayette County area received toys through Toys for Tots. This year we expect the need to be greater than last, and we are asking you to help.
The local Toys for Tots team works very hard to make Toys for Tots a success, but we could never do it without the help of concerned citizens and business leaders. We rely on local businesses and citizens for assistance in a number of areas, including:
* providing event tickets for raffles;
* providing large items for raffles (TV’s, etc.)
* providing gift cards for use at fundraisers;
* providing collection sites and toy drives;
* helping to promote Toys for Tots in the media;
For the many volunteers who make Toys for Tots possible year after year, Toys for Tots embodies the true spirit of Christmas, the gift of a shiny new toy - something that most children take for granted - means to a needy child that someone cares, that he/she has not been forgotten, that Christmas hasn't passed them by.
The Marine Corps Reserve believes that, "Every child deserves a little Christmas" and we are asking you to help us send the needy children of our community a message of hope this Christmas through the gift of a new toy. We will be happy to meet with you to discuss the Toys for Tots program in greater detail, and how you can help.

Registrations for Fayette County will take place for the 2012 Christmas season:
Fayette County Residents will register at the Fayette County YMCA
Fayette County YMCA
100 Civic Drive
Washington Courthouse, OH 43160
Registrations will be accepted Nov.1st, 2012 thru Nov.30th, 2012 from 9am until 8pm.

***IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED ASSISTANCE FOR TOYS FROM ANOTHER PROGRAM YOU ARE NOT ELIIGBLE TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE THROUGH TOYS FOR TOTS.
These registration dates are open only to Fayette County residents.
You MUST bring the following documents to apply:
Applications will not be accepted without required documents.
Photo I.D for applicant (drivers license, state id, passport)
Address verification (utility bill, lease, phone bill, mail)
Proof of Income 1 MONTH WORTH (pay stub, SSI notice, Unemployment notice, etc.)
Birth Certificates for ALL children
Medicaid, Caresource, Molina, or Amerigroup Cards if received.
Children MUST live in your home full time; you MUST have custody of children. If child has been placed in your home by the court system please bring verifying documents.
