The 16-year-old boy was "car surfing" Saturday when the incident occurred
Chillicothe Police have confirmed that a teenager critically injured after a fall from a "car surfing" incident Saturday night, has died at a Columbus hospital.
16-year-old Jacob Wolfe died just before 1pm Sunday at Nationwide Children's Hospital, due to head trauma.
Police were dispatched to the Wal-Mart parking lot at 9:36pm Saturday night, on a report of an injury crash.
Police discovered an 18-year-old was driving in the parking lot with Wolfe riding on the hood of the vehicle. The driver stopped the vehicle and Wolfe flew off the hood. The name of the driver was not released Sunday.
The fall resulted in Wolfe sustaining numerous injuries and was taken to Adena Medical Center and then flown to Children's Hospital. He was listed in critical condition, until he was pronounced dead at 12:49pm Sunday.
The incident is still under investigation.
