High Speed Chase Leads to Fatality Crash

A Wlimington native, now living in Indiana led the chase, which later resulted in his death

Wilmington Police say a high-speed chase Monday evening ended in a traffic crash that killed one person.

The three vehicle crash on State Route 73 east of Wilmington, took the life of 46-year-old Joseph Noble of Fort Wayne Indiana. Noble was a Clinton County native, who had led police on a high-speed chase inside the City of Wilmington and then out into the rural area. Noble died at the scene of the crash.

26-year-old Sonja R. Cayaditto of New Vienna, a passenger in the car, was taken to Clinton Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

The driver of the third vehicle, 42-year-old James Farhay of Hillsboro, was not hurt.

Evidence of alcohol consumption was discovered at the scene, according to investigators with the Ohio Highway Patrol.
