Hillsboro Police say Ryan McBrayer was arrested after they found him hiding in an apartment complex.
A Wilmington man was arrested on multiple charges, Friday. Hillsboro police were called to West North Street at 6:22 p.m. where 28-year-old Ryan McBrayer allegedly assaulted a 30-year-old woman at her home and then fled on foot.
Authorities were looking for him when they received another report of McBrayer taking a purse from a 64-year-old woman in a parking lot just after 7 p.m. The woman tried to chase him, but she fell and sustained minor scrapes and a chipped tooth.
An officer who was working security near Star Cinemas reported seeing McBrayer running on Harry Sauner Road and then into the Cedarwoods Apartment Complex.
McBrayer allegedly tried to hide in an apartment that did not belong to him. He was arrested without incident and found with the stolen purse.
He was arrested on charges of assault, burglary, possession of criminal tools, theft, and robbery.
