Authorities searched a Shell Station convenience store on State Street.
Authorities arrested a person for selling synthetic drugs from a Jeffersonville carryout, Thursday. The Ohio Investigative Unit and Fayette County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant at a Shell Station convenience store, at 220 State Street, and arrested 35-year-old Mandeep Kaur for trafficking in controlled substances.
Kaur, of Washington Court House, was taken to the Fayette County Jail.
Authorities said charges have also been filed against Multani & Saini, Inc. The administrative charges include four counts of drug sales, five counts of drug possession, two counts of drug paraphernalia sales, and two counts of drug paraphernalia possession; it's possible more charges could be filed at a later date, authorities said.
The administrative charges, which will be presented to the Liquor Control Commission, could result in penalties including fines, suspension, and revocation of the liquor permit.
"We received numerous allegations of trafficking in synthetic marijuana," Agent-in-Charge of the Columbus District Office SuAnn Cook said.
"Unfortunately, we continue to see synthetic drugs, like spice, being sold in Ohio."
