Authorities say two people were injured.

Two people were hospitalized after a crash on I-71 in Fayette County, Thursday. Authorities say Julie White was northbound when she slowed to avoid hitting a dog that was in the road. Her vehicle was struck from behind by a semi-tractor trailer driven by Lynda Ross.

Both vehicles went off the road and rolled over into a ditch.

White and Ross were taken to Fayette Memorial Hospital, and Ross was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
