Highland County Water customers should continue boiling water before consuming.
A reminder to all residence still with out power, The Highland Emergency Management Authority is located at 1487 North High Street, Suite 600 in Hillsboro.
Residents can also call 211 for information on the closest cooling center and where to find food. That number will not tell you when your power will come back on.
Water is available for people and livestock and is being distributed at the locations listed below:
*Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire - 640 North Washington St., Greenfield
*Lynchburg Fire/EMS- State Route -8123 St. Rt. 135, Lynchburg
*Mowrystown Fire/EMS - 59 Maple Street, Mowrystown
*Leesburg Fire & EMS -200 South Street, Leesburg
Residents in the County that have livestock issues can get water at the North High Water Plant in Hillsboro at $1.60 per 100 gallon.
The Highland County Water Company is asking for water customers to continue to conserve water and to Boil Drinking Water. If there is a slight film on the top of boiled water that is not bacteria it is limestone residue.
