Good news for Highland County Water Company customers, the pumping station has seen power restored. However, company officials say they are bringing customer usage back on-line gradually, and a boil alert will still be in place.
The recent thunderstorm has left many homes and businesses without electricity for an extended period, including Highland County Water Treatment Plant and well fields.
For that reason, coupled with the increased demand caused by high temperatures, customers were asked to ration water Saturday afternoon.
