A traffic stop nets the arrest of one man, and police also nab three people for metal thefts

A Hillsboro man has been charged with DUI and child endangering following a traffic stop Thursday. Hillsboro Police came upon a car driven by Michael Harris, as it continued to sit at a green light on West Main Street. Officers determined following a sobriety test that Harris was drunk. Since there was also a juvenile in the car, Harris was also charged with child endangering.

Hillsboro Police arrested three people for stealing scrap metal from the Highland District Hospital. The subjects were seen taking metal and placing it in an SUV. Arrested were 21-year-old James Hall, 25-year-old Andrew Cabanas and a juvenile. Each were charged with theft.
