about 3,000 riders Start Sunday the 17th
This weekend will likely be busier than most in southern Ohio as bicyclists join motorists on several local and state roadways. Today, and continuing throughout the week, bicyclists will be making their way through Highland, Ross and Pike counties in District 9, as well as Pickaway, Clinton and Fayette counties, as part of the 24th annual Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure.
GOBA (Go-BUH) is a weeklong bicycle tour that features an estimated 3,000 bicyclists, who will start their journey in Hillsboro on Sunday. A weeklong tour will take them over roadways to Chillicothe, Ashville, Washington Court House and Wilmington, before returning to Highland County on June 23.
The designated state routes in District 9 for the tour include S.R. 28, S.R. 72, S.R. 73, S.R. 138 and S.R. 771 in Highland County.
S.R. 220 and S.R. 335 in Pike County.
S.R. 28, S.R. 104, S.R. 159 and S.R. 772 in Ross County.
