Fayette "Y" Summer Camps

Registration for the camps must take place no later than one week before the scheduled event.

The Fayette County Family YMCA is offering expanded opportunities for youth and families this summer. In addition to the traditional YMCA Day Camp for ages 6-12, the YMCA is implementing camps this summer designed for those entering grades 6-8.

The YMCA will be offering a program June 25-29 that promotes a healthy lifestyle for preteens and teens entering grades 6 through 8. From 9am- 12pm each day, campers will participate in activities such as archery, Octaball, swimming, and various indoor and outdoor sports and games. On Friday campers will enjoy a filed trip to Zoombezi Bay Water park. In addition, the L.I.F.E. Pregnancy Center will present a health-based curriculum, specifically geared for each grade level. Sessions will focus on building healthy relationships, make wise life decisions and avoiding risky behaviors, including sexual behavior. This camp is $35 for anyone in the community entering ages 6th - 8th grades who would like to participate.

The YMCA will also offer Introduction to Y Leaders Club Camp July 9- 13 from 12 -4 p.m. Through this camp, each young adult will learn leadership and team building skills. Lunch will be provided. This camp is $55 for YMCA members and $65 if for non-members.
