Aid and Attendance can assist vets with health needs each month

Veterans with long-term disabilities can receive up to $2,000 a month, widows of veterans more than $1,000 a month through the "Aid and Attendance" benefit.

Mitch Adel says to qualify, you also must have a "health need"--something that requires the regular assistance of another person for completing basic everyday tasks, like eating, bathing and getting dressed.

This is for veterans of World War II, Korea and Vietnam, even if they didn't go overseas.
