April 28th is the day to bring unwanted drugs to be destroyed.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office is teaming with the US Drug Enforcement Administration to hold a drug take-back event this month. Deputies will be on hand at the Sheriff's Annex on West Market Street from 10am to 2pm on April 28th to collect unused, unwanted, or expired medications.

Those who want to drop off meds for disposal can drive to the rear of the building where deputies will take the items. There will also be bins inside the annex in which people can dispose the meds.

This will NOT require personal information and there is no paperwork to fill out.
