Medicaire and Medicaid inpatient payments will not be withheld from Adena Hospital.
The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) has reversed its decision to withhold Medicare payments for inpatient services at the Adena Medical Center.
Earlier this month, the hospital was placed on "immediate jeopardy status" after security issues were discovered, and CMS said it was going to stop covering Medicare payments beginning April 27.
The decision, however, was rescinded after representatives from the Ohio Department of Health conducted a surprise survey of Adena on Tuesday.
The survey, conducted on behalf of CMS, centered on an action plan submitted by Adena that addressed security concerns raised by the agency.
