GOBA will be just one of a few events coming to Hillsboro this summer.
Hillsboro Council heard a great deal about upcoming events that will bring visitors to the city during their Monday meeting.
Council spoke about getting the city ready for Great American Bicycle Adventure which will come through Hillsboro and Washington Court House in June.
Mayor Drew Hastings said he believes that the event is a good chance to keep history alive in Hillsboro. He also said that a special arch made of bicycle wheels will be put up at no cost to the city.
And Mayor Hastings was caring a "big stick" Monday night, but not in the form that Teddy Roosevelt once promoted. Hastings big stick was in the form of a cane, but he said he is just glad to be off of the crutches following a recent problem with his leg.
In other business, council heard that the waste water treatment plant is more than 92% complete in its construction.
