The 2013 State Wrestling Tournament began Thursday afternoon at Ohio State University.
Five Wrestler from Fayette County & ten from SCOL schools qualified for the event by finishing in the top 4 in their respectitive weight classes.
FAYETTE COUNTY RESULTS:
Washington CH qualified three for the state meet with only CAMERON SHAW still alive. Losing his first round match at 195 pounds, Shaw won his first consolation match keeping alive his hope of placing again like last year at the event.
Both KOLE TRIGG (120) & JIMMY VAN DYKE (152) lost both of their matches & are done.
Miami Trace qualified two & both are still alive.
HAYDEN BOTTORFF won his opening match & wrestle in the quarterfinals later Friday morning. If he wins he goes to Friday night semi-finals.
TRENT DUFFY (113) lost his opening match but will return Friday after a late win in the consolation.

Greenfield McClain Brandon Davis at 220 pounds won first round match & goes to Friday morning quarterfinals.
Clinton-Massie Wyatt Running won his opening match as well & is in the quarterfinals at 170 pounds.
Hillsboro Branden Carter lost in the opening match but saves himself by winning his first match in he consolation bracket.
London Owen Shoemaker as well lost his opening match but wins in consolations & stays alive at 160 pounds.
Madison Plains Tim Violet lost both of his match in Division 3 at 132 pounds & is out.
