Jackson who had only one win all season, jumped out to a 12-4 lead before Hillsboro went on a 14-0 run late in the 1st quarter & early 2nd period to take the lead that they never lost the rest of the contest.
The Indians used a 17-8 advantage in the 2nd period to lead by 7 at the half. Jackson though hit some key three point shots & cut the deficit to 37-34 going into the final quarter. But, Hillsboro (10-13 overall) extended their lead with an 18-8 fourth quarter to clinch the win.
Jarrod Hart led the Indians with 15 points & Jordan Captain added 10 points as the Indians have now won 4 of their last 5 games.
Hillsboro shot 42% from the field including 3 of 13 three point shots & was 12 of 21 at the charity line. They had only 11 turnovers.
Jackson (1-22 overall) shot 39% from the field including an impressive 7 of 14 (50%) of their three point shots but was only 5 of 9 from the free throw line. They committed 21 turnovers during the game.
Hillsboro will meet Proctorville Fairland Saturday with a trip to the Convo & the Districts on the line. Fairland beat Hillsboro in last year sectional finals.
