Despite out-rebounding Washington CH 40-23, Westfall was hampered by 28 turnovers in a 61-54 sectional title loss to the Lady Blue Lions Thursday at Zane Trace High School. WCH committed only 14 miscues of their own.
Both teams shot an almost identical 37% from the field, as Westfall was 19/51 while WCH was 19/50. The Lady Mustangs connected on 4/13 from the arc and WCH was 1/6.
The teams made up for their chilly shooting in the field, with the Lady Blue Lions connecting on 22/33 and Westfall was 12/15.
Washington had three players in double figures, with sophomore Carleigh Chaffins scoring 21 points, followed by Corrine Ryan and Chelsea Warning each with 10 points. Ryan also grabbed 9 rebounds.

Westfall was led by 5'11 freshman Regan Stonerock's double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. Jessica Miller added 10 points, while Kelsie Robinson had 7 points and 8 rebounds with Kelly Fuchs adding 6 points/9 rebounds.
The (14-9) Lady Blue Lions avenged a 75-68 triple-overtime loss to (12-10)Westfall on December 22nd and won the sectional crown over the Lady Mustangs for a second straight year.
