Blake Baldwin's 2 free throws with under 15 seconds left in the game clinched the Panthers' victory against Washington Court House.
Baldwin's free throws gave Miami Trace a 60-55 lead.
Blue Lion Derek Shaw came down court and hit a three pointer with 2.4 seconds left, but time ran out and the Panthers clinched the contest.
Washington's only lead was at 5-4 as the Panthers' pressure defense gave the Blue Lions fits all night and forced 18 Blue Lions turnovers as well as bad shot selections when Washington wasn't turning the ball over.
Miami Trace led Washington by 13 points early in the 4th quarter but the Blue Lions stayed in the contest by hitting 5 threes down the stretch, including 2 by Shaw and back-to-back 3s by Conner Eckles that almost help them pull off the comeback victory.
Miami Trace was led by Cedric Pettiford with 21 points, Blake Baldwin 13, and Marcel Pettiford had 11 points.
Derek Shaw led Washington with 23 points, while Conner Eckles had 18 points.
Miami Trace was an impressive 17 of 19 from the free-throw line including 7 of 8 in the 4th quarter.
Washington CH was 8 of 12 during the contest from the charity stripe.
Both teams are now (11-4) overall. Washington is in 2nd place in the SCOL at (7-2) and travels to Hillsboro, Friday. Third-place Miami Trace (6-3) plays at London.
