In a rare scheduling Clinton-Massie & Hillsboro will play a back & back night series against each other in SCOL boys action this weekend.
 
Friday night Hillsboro travels to Clinton County & the Falcons home court at Clarksville while on Saturday Falcons travel to Highland County & play against Hillsboro.
 
The Saturday game date was rescheduled from December 7th that orginally had the Falcons at Hillsboro, but was moved as the Falcons first 3 plus weeks of boys basketball games were moved to allow time for the football players on the team to get prepared for their season.
CLINTON MASSIE (4-0 SCOL/7-2 OVERALL)/ HILSBORO (1-5/5-6)
The Falcons have won 4 games in a row with their only losses of the season being to Wilmington in the finals of the Clinton County Holiday Tournament & by 3 points to Lemon-Monroe.
 
Team is led by Tyler Uetrecht (14.2 points per game) & Cory Saddler (11 ppg).
Friday game will wrap up a 6 game home stand for the Falcons & with the Saturday game except playing at London on January 4th will be the 1st away game for the team outside Clinton County this season & it will start a run of 5 away games in the next 7 for the Falcons.
Hillsboro started the season at 4-1 but have lost 4 games in a row. The Indians (1-5/5-5) is led by senior Jarrod Hart (17.7ppg).

The Blue Lions saw a lead disappear late in the game on December 7th at Madison Plains & in turn lost 65-62.
 
The question was how would the team respond after starting 0-3 for the season?

During the win streak the Lions have had 5 games in which they had 3 players in double figures showing a balance scoring attack as well as good three point shooting.

MIAMI TRACE (4-3/9-4) AT GREENFIELD MCCLAIN (1-6/5-9)
The Panthers have lost 3 of their 4 games this season on the road & McClain is one of the toughest places to play in the area for opponents.
 
Panthers have won 3 of their last 4 games & beat the Tigers 65-49 earlier this season at the Panther Pit.
 
Panthers are led in scoring by Blake Baldwin (13.2 ppg), Austin Schoellkopf (10.2 ppg ) & Cedric Pettiford (11.2 ppg in 8 games). Jaron Brust is one of the top three point shooters in the SCOL hitting 20 treys so far.
McClain has lost 6 of their last 7 games with 5 of those losses by a total of 12 points.
The Tigers are led by Ryan Faulconer (12.3 ppg) & with 9 plus pts. per game average by both Brett Shannon & Thomas Schrader.
EAST CLINTON (3-3/6-7) AT LONDON (2-5/4-10)
The Astros have won 2 games in a row including a win at West Union on Tuesday night.
 
The Astros have two of the top scorers in the SCOL with Dalton Floyd (17.6 ppg) & Tyler Lewis (18.4 ppg) who didn't have his 1st varsity start until the Astros 5th game of the season.
 
Lewis has the highest individual point output so far this season in the league action with a 33 point performance (13 in OT) against Madison Plains on December 18th.
East Clinton will have a non league game Saturday at Blanchester. Astros beat them 65-59 in the Clinton County Holiday Tournament consolation game back in December.
In the first meeting between these 2 schools on December 7th East Clinton beat the Red Raiders 71-63 in double OT. In London game this past Tuesday Fairbanks hit a three pointer with 2 seconds left & London lost 43-42.
 
Red Raiders have lost 7 of their games by 8 points or less.
 
Coming back from his football injury on December 29th Kyle Fisher has had 6 straight double digit games (19 ppg) as the team since that date has gone 3-3 with losses by 6 points to Clinton-Massie, 7 points to WCH & the 1 point loss to Fairbanks.
