The Blue Lions won their 8th straight contest taking advantage of seven 1st quarter turnovers by the Astros turning them into 11 points & went on to capture the win. Washington (4-1 SCOL/8-3 overall) led by as much as 18 points late in the 2nd quarter (35-17) before East Clinton (2-3/4-7) battled to within 6 points early in the 4th quarter (40-34).
Conner Eckles led the Lions with 16 points & Derek Shaw chipped in 12 points as Washington shot an impressive 48% from the field including hitting for seven 3s in the contest. They were 12 of 18 from the charity stripe.
East Clinton was led by Tyler Lewis with 19 points & Dalton Floyd with 16 points. Astros also hit 48% from the field but was 0 for 3 on three point shot attempts & only was 2 of 8 from the free throw line.
MIAMI TRACE 52, HILLSBORO 40
Panthers outscored the Indians 20-8 over the last 10 minutes of the game Tuesday night & move to 4-2 in the SCOL & 8-3 overall.
Cedric Pettiford led the Panther attack with 18 points & Blake Baldwin added 16.
Hillsboro (1-3/5-4) was led by Jarrod Hart with 17 points in the contest.
LONDON 62, GREENFIELD MCCLAIN 61 OT
The Tigers lost their 2nd straight overtime game & their 3rd game in a row by a point.
Tigers trailed 11-3 after 1st period & fought back to tie the game at 47 at the end of regulation.
John Turner of Greenfield hit a 3 pointer at the end of the first extra period to force the 2nd overtime with a 54-54 tie.
London (1-4/3-7) was led by Kyle Fisher with 25 points, Brok Bennett with 19 & Zac Carey with 14 points.
McClain (1-4/ 4-7) was led by Ryan Falcouner & Thomas Schrader with 14 points each & Brett Shannon added 13 points.
CLINTON-MASSIE 52, MADISON PLAINS 40
The Falcons used an 18-2 run late in the 2nd quarter & most of the 3rd period to run their record to 2-0 in the SCOL & 4-2 overall.
The run put the Falcons up by a 42-23 score & the Golden Eagles couldn't cut the deficit under double figures the remainder of the game.
C-M was led by Cory Saddler with 16 points & Tyler Uetrecht with 10.
Madison Plains (4-2/5-5) was led in scoring by Jordan Siler with 12 & Ryne Davis with 9 points.
