Clinton Massie & Miami Trace are both 6-0 in the SCOL girls standings & will face off Wednesday night at the Panther Pit.The game has been added to the Buckeye Country & I Heart Radio broadcast schedule with Stew Gardner & Tim Skaggs with all the action starting at 7:15pm.
The Lady Falcons of Clinton-Massie is ranked tied for 13th place in this week first girls state Division 2 polls. The team is 10-2 overall & scoring about 60.5 points per game while giving up only 33 points a game so far.
Their losses came to Bellbrook on December 4th by a 59-47 score. Bellbrook is ranked 5th in the Division 2 state polls this week. The other loss was to the Wilmington Lady Hurricanes in the finals of the Clinton County Holiday Tournament.
Falcons have lost their top scorer & rebounder. Sydney Brackenmyer was averaging about 23 points a game but suffered a serious knee injury during the recent holiday tournament & will probably be out for the rest of the season.
Kasey Uetrecht leads the team now with a 11.3 ppg. Mary Moyer (8.5 ppg) & Erin Fair (5.9 ppg) will be called upon to help to pick up some scoring.
Miami Trace started the season at 8-0 before losing back to back games over the holiday break to Unioto (43-38) & Greeneview (49-46). They won last Saturday to run their record to 9-2 overall.
Lady Panthers are averaging 58.9 ppg & giving up 41.7ppg. Among their wins was the opener against Adena by a 59-45 score. Lady Warriors are currently ranked #14th in Division 3.
Senior Deidre McKay leads the Lady Panthers with about 14 points a game. She gets help from Josie Cobb (10.0 ppg),Ariana Mabra (9 ppg), Abby Schwenk (8.4 ppg) & Ashley Henry (7.5 ppg).
