MIAMI TRACE 61, EAST CLINTON 40
The Lady Panthers used a cold shooting streak by the Lady Astros in the 2nd period & picked up a road win Wednesday night.
East Clinton led 9-7 after the 1st quarter but missed 11 shot attempts in a row as the Lady Panthers rolled to a 24-11 lead.
Ariana Mabra with a season high 14 points led a balance scoring attack for Lady Panthers (8-0 overall 5-0 in SCOL). Josie Cobb, Diedre McKay & Abby Schwenk had 9 points each.
Beth Huffman led the Lady Astros (2-6 1-4) with 17 points as the Lady Astros have lost 5 games in a row.
CLINTON-MASSIE 66, LONDON 10
The Lady Falcons scored the first 16 points of the game & later on went on a 30-0 run during the 2nd & 3rd quarters to cruise to their 7th win of the season. Falcons (7-1 5-0) were led by Syndey Brackenmyre who had 25 points & 15 rebounds. Massie out rebounded London 55-22 overall.
WASHINGTON CH 42, GREENFIELD MCCLAIN 40
Molli Shaw hit two of her 5 three pointers during two separate 5-0 runs by the Lady Lions in the 4th quarter that nailed down the win.
Shaw had 5 straight points to put Washington up 30-28 at the start of the final period & then after a 33-33 tie with 3 minutes left in the game, a jumper by Emily Bath & another Shaw three pointer put Washington ahead to stay.
Shaw finished with 18 points in the contest for the Lady Lions (4-4 2-3)
Defensively the Blue Lions held McClain top scorer Shania Massie to 2 points (two 4th quarter free throws). Massie entered the contest with a 15 point average.
Tara Karnes led the Lady Tigers (2-7 2-3 ) with 21 points & 13 rebounds.
MADISON PLAINS 54, HILLSBORO 45
The Lady Golden Eagles used a 17-5 margin at the free throw line & defeated Hillsboro Wednesday night in SCOL action.
Madison Plains (7-1 4-1) was 17 of 26 while Hillsboro was 5 of 8 at the charity stripe.
Eagles were led by Abbey Finney 16 points, Kelsey Woodward had 13 & Casey Knisley added 11 points.
Lady Indians (2-6 1-4) was led by Trista Rhoades with 15 points & with 10 points each Kaylynn Bell & Hannah Kibler.
