Garrett Phipps hit two free throws with 6.8 seconds left in the game & helped clinch the Blue Lions first win in the SCOL & their 2nd straight win in the last 4 days (both by 1 point). The Blue Lions (1-1 2-3) was led by Phipps & Derek Shaw with 17 points each. Conner Johnson added 12 points to the team's effort.

Miami Trace (1-1 4-1) was led by Austin Schoellkopf had 14 points to lead four Panthers in double figures. Blake Baldwin added 13 points & Marcel Pettiford & Brantlyn Decker had 10 points each.

Washington was hot hitting on 8 threes & was 14 of 17 from the free throw line. Trace shot 37% from the field & was 15 of 27 from the free throw line.

Hillsboro will play at Washington Tuesday night in a game broadcast on Buckeye Country & I Heart Radio while London will play Miami Trace at the Panther Pit.

 
HILLSBORO 44, GREENFIELD MCCLAIN 28
The Indians led 27-8 at the half as they now have won 11 games in a row in boys varsity basketball against the Tigers. The Indians (1-0 4-1) was led by Jarrod Hart with 19 points (15 in the first half).

McClain had 20 turnovers in the contest. Tigers (0-2 1-3) had only 4 players scoring led by Ryan Falconer with 12 points & Thom Schrader with 9 points.
 

MADISON PLAINS 62, LONDON 55
Golden Eagles hit some clutch shots in the final minute & defeated their Madison County rival Friday night. Madison Plains (2-0 2-3) was led in scoring by Brooks Carter with 15 points & Eli Williams with 11.

London who drops to 0-6 overall & 0-2 in the league was led by Brok Bennett with 18 points, Zach Anderson with 17 & Zac Carey with 14 points.
