The Lady Lions held off a very determined Hillsboro squad hitting several free throws down the stretch to snap a three game losing streak. Chelsea Warning led the Lady Lions with 14 points while Katlynn Bell led three Hillsboro players in double figures with 19 points.
MIAMI TRACE 87, LONDON 30
Lady Panthers rolled to their 6th straight win & 3rd in the league after a convincing win over Panthers Head Coach Ben Ackley former team.
CLINTON-MASSIE 65, GREENFIELD MCCLAIN 30
The Lady Falcons led 23-18 after the first quarter then held the Lady Tigers to 12 points the rest of the contest including no field goals & only 5 free throws in the final quarter of action. Massie who goes to 3-0 in the league & 5-1 overall was led by Kasey Uetrecht with 22 points & Sydney Brackenmyre with 11. McClain who drops to 1-3 overall was led by Shania Massie with 11 points.
BOYS
WASHINGTON C.H. 46, CIRCLEVILLE 45
Washington Derek Shaw hit the last 4 points in the contest including a game tying three pointer & the winning free throw all in the last 15 seconds of the game as the Blue Lions clinched their first win of the season. Shaw finished with 15 points in the contest. Circleville shot 48% from the field that help offset their 35 turnovers. Tigers had a chance to win the contest but missed a last second shot & fell to 1-3 overall. Conner Haddux with 13 & Will Griffin with 12 points led the Tigers scoring.
WEST JEFFERSON 77, MADISON PLAINS 59
Roughriders jumped out to a 18-9 first quarter & slowly expanded their lead through out the contest as they go to 4-0 for the season. They had three players in double figures led by Kyle Robbins with 21 points. Golden Eagles dropped to 1-2 were led by Hunter Butan with 17 points.
