The Clinton-Massie Falcons are one win away from going to the state Final 4 in Division 4 high school football playoffs for the second year in a row. They took one step closer by outscoring the Batavia Bulldogs by a 28-6 second half margin & rolled to their 12th win of the season winning by a 42-13 score.

Issac Dell interception set up the Falcons first score as Bayle Wolf scored on the first play after the turnover running in from 65 yards out & help put C-M up 7-0 after Cullum Jones PAT kick.

Batavia then went on a 12 play drive tying the game on a 21 yard drive.

C-M took the lead for good in the 2nd period as Tyler Uetrecht scored the 1st of his 2 TDs on a 1 yard run.

Batavia again drove down the field & got in the red zone with less than 1 minute left before halftime, but couldn't convert on a 4th down pass play & Massie ran out the clock.

Falcons took the opening kickoff to start the 2nd half & capped off the drive with an 5 yard TD run by Wolfe again. Later in the same period Uhrecht added a 20 yard TD score to make it 28-7.

In the 4th quarter Wyatt Running ran in from a score followed moments later with a JD Curtsinger 62 yard punt return for the Falcons final score.

DeShaun Foley scored with under 2 minutes left for Batavia on a 22 yard run but the 2 point conversion was no good.

Massie finished the game with 351 yards in offense (all on the ground) with Bayle Wolfe with 13 carries for 150 yards (140 in the 1st half) & Wyatt Running also with 13 carries had 111 yards (94 of those in the 2nd half). 

Foley for Batavia had 121 yards rushing.

C-M play Milton-Union next Friday for the Regional 16 championship.

Milton-Union (10-2) for the season after defeating Westfall last week rolled thru their semi-final game Friday with a 51-8 win over Norwood.

Tyler Brown ran for 2 TDs & London Cowan caught 2 TD passes.

Site of the game will be announced Sunday by the OHSAA.
