The Clinton-Massie Falcons mashed the Maderia Mustangs 48-7 Friday night in the Division 4/Region 16 quarterfinals of the Ohio High School Athletic Association playoffs.
Massie leading only 14-7 midway in the 2nd quarter took advantage of 3 turnovers (a strip, a fumble recovery & an interception) & scored 20 points off of those turnovers & rolled to their 11th straight win this season.
Massie rushed for over 425 yards unofficially against a Maderia team that was only giving up an average of 87 yards a game.
Bayle Wolfe (28 carries-175 yards) & Wyatt Running (14 carries-164 yards) each scored twice.
Tyler Uethrecht added 2 Scores & JD Curtsinger added a TD run. Callum Jones was 6 of 7 on PATs.
Maderia top runner Timmy James who was averaging about 169 yards a game was held to minus 8 yards rushing in the contest.
Clinton-Massie will now move to the D-4/Region 16 semi-finals next Friday night against Batavia, who defeated Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy 46-27.
Site for that contest will be announced late Sunday afternoon by the OHSAA.
