Week 10 wraps up with rivarly week in the SCOL

CLINTON-MASSIE 76, EAST CLINTON 0
 
The Falcons clinched their 7th straight SCOL title & ran their league winning streak to 32 in a row after manhandling East Clinton Friday night.
 
Falcons turned 2 fumble recoveries & a punt return into three of their scores as they finished 10-0 for the 4th time in the last 5 seasons. Massie with the 76 points moved into a tie with the 1977 Miami Trace team for 16th place in state football records with 606 points for a season. Also the team average of 60.6 points a game ties Trace for 4th place all time in average points per game.
 
Placekicker Cullum Jones of the Falcons now with 77 PAT (Points After TDs) which help him set a new single school season record.
 
Wyatt Running added 106 yards rushing & Bayle Wolf scored twice as C-M clinch the #1 spot in Region 16 & it looks like they will host Maderia next weekend in the first round of the playoffs.
 
GREENFIELD MCCLAIN 54, HILLSBORO 6
 
A bad snap that set up a Hillsboro 5 yrad TD in the 1st quarter kept the Tigers from getting their second shutout of the season.
 
The win over Hillsboro gave McClain the Rotary Cup for the 2nd time in the last three years as team finished at 7-3 mark, which believed to be a school best.
But it looks like team will finish 9th in Region 12 computer rankings & miss qualifying for the playoffs.
 
Dillion Esst scored three times & had 104 yards rushing for McClain leaving him about 60 yards short of the magical 1000 yard mark.
 
McClain finished with 254 yards rushing & 55 yards passing as the overcame the early 6-0 deficit to Hillsboro & rolled out to a 22-6 halftime lead.
 
Tigers added 2 scores in th 3rd quarter & three more in the 4th. Six different players scored TDs for McClain.
 
Hillsboro had two turnovers & had only 60 yards unofficially in offense as the team finished at 0-10 joining the 1966 & 1967 teams that went thru season without a win.
 
Criag Jackson led the team with 27 yards rushing.
 
MIAMI TRACE 47, WASHINGTON CH 13
 
The Panthers snapped a 2 game losing streak to the Blue Lions & won the McDonalds Fayette County Trophy for the 7th time in 9 seasons.
.
The Panthers took the lead at 7-0 only to see Washington come back to close the gap to 7-6.
 
After that the Panthers jumped out with 21 straight points to take a 28-6 lead late in the 2nd quarter before the Blue Lions cut it to 28-13 at the half.
 
Trevor Haines led the Panthers with 188 yards rushing as Miami Trace finished the season at 6-4 & Washington finished at 5-5.
 
Panthers finished 2nd in the SCOL at 6-1.
 
LONDON 24, MADISON PLAINS 6
 
The Red Raiders scored all their points in the 1st half & finish the season with a 3 game winning streak.
 
Among the scores was a 24 yard field goal by Seth Roberts & TD runs by Kyle Fisher, Justin Schlosser & Levi McCellan.
 
Golden Eagles who started the season with a school record 4-0 start lost their last 6 games.
 
Their only score came in the 4th quarter on a Travis Chaffin 14 yard run.
