The Blue Lions after last week 76-0 setback at Clinton-Massie bounced back scoring on three of their first four possessions & rolled to a shut out win Friday night at Gardner Park.
Tye Smith ran for 248 yards unofficially scoring three times & finished with 296 yards in total offense as Washington goes to 5-3 overall & stays in a tie for 2nd place at least for the next 24 hours with Greenfield McClain at 4-2.
Blue Lions had over 430 yards in offense as they jumped out to a 25-0 lead at halftime.
Hillsboro now 0-9 were without the services of star running back Kordell Ford & lost his replacement Kyler White in the 3rd period.
Hillsboro had 139 of their 188 yards on offense in the 2nd half.
Logan Lesley ran for 44 yards & passed for 88 more yards for the Indians.
GREENFIELD MCCLAIN 56, MADISON PLAINS 22
If the Tigers fans were wondering if the Tigers could bounce back after last week loss at Miami Trace they got their answer quickly as the McClain Tigers jumped out to 35-8 first half lead.
Dillion East rolled up 250 yards & scored 5 times in the Senior Night contest.
Madison Plains now has lost 5 in a row after starting the season at 4-0.
The Golden Eagles already without Ryne Davis at quarterback for the rest of the season played without running back Steve Liemuex who sat out the game due to illness.
He is expected back next week against London. He needs about 70 yards to become the first ever Golden Eagle to have three consecutive 1000 yards rushing.
LONDON 22, EAST CLINTON 13
Red Raiders got their 2nd straight win as Kyle Fisher scored twice in the final period including the game winner with under 2 1/2 minutes left in the game. Fisher finished the contest with 150 yards rushing.
Astros Max Morrow again provided the scoring for the Astros with 2 TDs.
