Pilots are ready to fly in the Vinton County Air Show
Aerobatic performers are lining up to fly Sunday, September 15 in Ohio’s largest free airshow, the Vinton County Air Show. This annual event is held at the Vinton County Airport located about 6 miles north of McArthur just off of St. Rt. 93 on Airport Road. Signs will be posted.
The BBQ chicken dinners are as popular as the flying and will be ready at about 11 a.m. The dinners feature not only chicken, but also all the sides.
Also popular are airplane rides which will be offered after the air show is over and visiting planes have left the airport. Get your tickets early since rides will be given in the order they are sold.
There will be great flying by some of the best aerobatic pilots anywhere, some unusual aircraft is set to arrive at the airport, and the food can’t be beat.
Attendance at the air show is free, but a donation will be requested for parking. Get there early for the closest parking. Food prices have not been determined yet, but the dinner is big and is usually affordably priced.
