FCMH Helping Poverty Level Patients Get Treatment

Fifteen in one hundred homes in Fayette County live in poverty, and thanks to expanded income guidelines at Fayette County Memorial Hospital (FCMH), fewer patients may have to decide between their hospital bills and other household expenses. With the change, more households may now qualify for free or low cost care provided by the hospital.

.

Patients whose household income is up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline are eligible for 100% financial assistance and those with a household income of up to 400% of the guideline are eligible for a 60% discount on their FCMH bill. The change was driven by a desire to help those who are working remain healthy. Those who qualify can also work with counselors to establish a payment plan for the balance.

.

One application will cover six months of encounters at FCMH. For a complete application and more information, please contact the FCMH Financial Counselors at (740) 333-2725.
