(24/7 News) -- The weekend death of an inmate imprisoned in Madison County is being considered a homicide. Robert Leach Jr died Saturday afternoon. Officials are not saying how he died, but that there was some sort of incident at Madison Correctional Institution.
An Ohio State Highway Patrol spokesperson said they are actively investigating his death, but no charges have been filed so far.

Leach had been there behind bars since 2017. He was serving a seven-year sentence on trespassing, attempted burglary and burglary charges
