State Route 73 in Highland County will be subject to intermittent periods of closure on Thursday, May 3rd between Diven Road and West Welcome Road for an ongoing bridge replacement.
At any time from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. that portion of S.R. 73 will be closed for up to 15-minute intervals while crews from Complete General Construction erect and set three beams for the new bridge.
As the periods of closure will be temporary, there will be no posted detour, and traffic will be stopped and held while each beam is being set.
Currently, the route is reduced to one lane just west of Hillsboro. The work is scheduled to be completed in late summer.
