Thomas Rhett: Wins iHeartRadio Music Award

Thomas Rhett is an early winner of an iHeartRadio Music Award

Though the show airs Sunday, he's already been announced as Country Artist of the Year for the second year in a row. Thomas faced off against Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt.

He's also up for Country Song of the Year for his hit “Unforgettable.” He's nominated along with Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road,” Jon Pardi’s “Dirt on My Boots,” Luke Combs’s “Hurricane” and Dustin Lynch’s “Small Town Boy.”

Still to be announced is the winner of the Best New Country Artist Award. The contenders are Brett Young, Jon Pardi, Kane Brown, Lauren Alaina and Luke Combs.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards will air live on Sunday on  TBS, TNT and truTV at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, as well as on iHeartMedia radio stations across the country and on the iHeartRadio app.
