German Athletes Drinking Non-Alcoholic Beer To Improve Performance

Germany is having a very successful Winter Olympics. This isn't a complete surprise. The country has some awesome mountain ranges, which allow athletes there to really develop their skills.

But, that's not the only advantage the Germans have.

They are also chugging a bunch of non-alcoholic beer, which supposedly has better health benefits than sports drinks.

Hoping to give their athletes the best chance possible to win, the German brewery Krombacher sent about 1,000 gallons with the team to South Korea.

And, it seems to be working as the non-alcoholic beer reduces inflammation, fights off infections and helps athletes recover more quickly from grueling workouts. (Bend Bulletin)
