Hillsboro High & Middle School were placed on lockdown, Tuesday
The lockdown was ordered late Tuesday morning following an unspecified threat. School officials said the lockdown was merely precautionary.
The Hillsboro Police Department was on site and helped secure the students and premises. All the students will be released on time today.
The district's superintendent will issue calls to parents with more information.
