Armetha Ruth Reed, age 88 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at her daughters home in Cookeville.
She was born Thursday, September 5, 1929 in Hillsboro, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Waneta (Locke) Smith.
Armetha was a faithful Wife, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was dedicated to God and family. Her most wonderful accomplishments include instilling bible knowledge and desire for relationship with Christ in her family and all that know her. She was a prayer warrior that daily took many request and needs of others to the Lord in prayer.
She is survived by;
2 Daughters and Sons-in-law: Victoria and Jack Whiteaker of Cookeville, TN Katheryn and Cleston Vickers of Cookeville, TN Former Son-in-law: Ron Tussey of Cookeville, TN 4 Grandchildren and Spouses: Valerie and Greg Smith, Steven and Kim Whiteaker, Melissa Whiteaker, Rhonda and Chris Fields. 8 Great Grandchildren 2 Sisters and 1 Brother-in-law; Eleanor Helterbrand Emma and Jack Puckett In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband: Calvin Clark Reed, 1 Infant Daughter, Sharon Reed, 2 Sisters, and 5 Brothers.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 beginning at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Springs, Ohio.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, December 15, 2017 from 12:00 noon until time of service at 2:00 pm, (EST).
