Kathleen Lundy Wilkinson

Kathleen Lundy Wilkinson died peacefully in her home on October 12, 2017, surrounded by family.

She was born in Chester Township on February 12, 1930, daughter of Clive E. and Carrie Jones Lundy.

Kathleen graduated from Kingman High School in 1948, and Wright State University in 1972.

She married Charles A. ‘Chick’ Wilkinson, amid a blizzard, on November 19, 1950, and enjoyed 53 years of marriage until his passing in 2003.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Calvin Lundy and Homer Lundy; and sisters, Frances Fleming, Ruth Burlingame, Drusilla (Peggy) Peelle, Bernice Lundy and Sarah Mary Lundy; as well as special cousins, Nancy Lundy, Paul (P.K.) Peterson and Ruthie Osborn.

Kathleen was the proud mother to son, Allen (Jill) Wilkinson and daughter, Anne Wilkinson, all of Wilmington; grandmother to Elizabeth (Cameron) Marsh, Kerry Wilkinson and Gregory Wilkinson, all of Wilmington; and Ryan (Nicole) Wilkinson of Hartville, Ohio; and great grandmother to Clara and Cooper Marsh and Reese Wilkinson. She enjoyed the company of her many special nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and her classmates and their spouses from her graduating class (1948) of Kingman.

After a 25 year career, Kathleen retired in 1991 from Clinton Massie School System. She started as a 2nd grade school teacher and ended her career as a librarian. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Cary Chapter #221, Clinton County Retired Teachers Association, and Bible Baptist Church.

Family will receive friends on Monday, October 23, 2017, from 10-12 Noon, when a funeral with begin, at Bible Baptist Church, Wilmington.
