Charles "Ed" Forsythe

Charles “Ed” Forsythe, age 83, of Washington CH passed away in the early morning of August 1, 2017 at the Fayette Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

     Ed was born on July 28, 1933 in Bourneville, Ohio to the late Ralph and Ruth Pollock Forsythe. He was a 1952 Graduate of Washington Senior High School. He was a proud Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 25, the VFW post 3762, and the F.O.Eagles. Ed was very involved with his boys during their dirt bike times and often reflected on those times. He also had a love for woodworking and could often be found “tinkering” with different projects. He will be remembered for his kindheartedness and loving nature, as well as being a devoted husband and a dedicated father and grandfather.

     Along with his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne, who passed in September of 2016 and brothers, Jim and Larry Forsythe.

     Surviving are his children, Chelle Forsythe, Gail Conner, Eddie (Dawn) Forsythe, and Brad Forsythe; grandchildren, Adam (Ronni) Conner, Coty (Tracy) Anderson, Mia (Andy) Hurst, Rayanne Conner, Deven (James) Baughn, Allison Forsythe, Bradley Forsythe, Abigail Forsythe, and Mackenzie Harding; great-grandchildren, Phoenix Williams, Charli Conner, Oakley Anderson, Iris Taylor, and Violet Anderson; a brother, Max Forsythe; and many other family and friends.

     A celebration of his life will take place at 8pm on Monday, August 7, 2017 at the Roberts Funeral Home in WCH with Pastor David Caperton officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Fayette County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6pm until the time of service. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
