Betty M. Blazer 73 of Bainbridge died 2:40 pm Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born January 16, 1944 in Ross County the daughter of the late Roy and Dora (Kuhn) Cox.
She is survived by her son Chris Johnson and his fiancé Rose Chochenour; 7 grandchildren, Larry, Justin and Christian Johnson Whittney Bryson, Cayla Cannon, Lynzie Johnson and Brande Wright; 8 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Everett and James Cox and Mike Miller; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Pamela Shelpman; and close friends, Anita Howle, Zach Maughmer and Jesse.
She was preceded in death by her companion, Hank Hill; an infant son; and 2 sisters, Maggie (Peg) Leeth and Connie Cox.Betty started work at Pike Community Hospital and she later went to work at the Chillicothe Hospital where she retired from several years ago. Betty loved to plant and transplant her flowers.
Funeral services will be held 11am Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME of Bainbridge. Burial will follow in the Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may visit with Betty’s family from 5-8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
