J. Edgar "Ed" Williamson

J. Edgar “Ed” Williamson, 74 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Tuesday May 9, 2017 at his residence.

 

He was born in Highland County on December 5, 1942, the son of the late Ernest and Edna Louise (Bryant) Williamson. Besides his parents, he was also preceded by his brother, Bing Williamson.

 

Ed was a graduate of Belfast High School, Morehead State University, taught at Clermont Northeastern Schools, Gross Feibel, founder and owner of Williamson Safe Company, special Deputy Highland Sheriff’s Department for several years and was a member of the F.O.E. Aerie #1161.

 

Ed is survived by his two sons, Chad (Andrea) Williamson of Hillsboro and Dr. Clint (Cassie) Williamson of Bainbridge, daughter, Tara (Geoff) Robertson of Hillsboro, ten grandchildren: Brice Cooper, Brant Cooper, Bria Brown, Brian Brown, Chase (Erin) Williamson, Tori Williamson, Rhen Williamson, Mya Bell, Ledger Robertson and Jolie Williamson, two great grandchildren, Pyper Cooper and Rilynne Williamson, sister-in-law, Brenda Williamson of Hillsboro, niece, Brandi Wing of Hillsboro, nephew, Brad Williamson of Chillicothe and several cousins and a host of friends.

 

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday May 12, 2017 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Coss Cemetery.

 

Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services on Friday at the Thompson Funeral Home.

 

Donations can be made to the Highland County Society for Children and Adults.
