Thomas JW Drake,
Age 66, of Wilmington, OH, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 12, 2017 at his home.
He was born August 28, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Robert Ralston & Mary Ann (Fiorentino) Drake.
A 1970 Clinton-Massie High School Graduate, Tom was a local business owner of Farquar Heating & Air Conditioning and later Wilmington Mechanical for years until his diagnosis and progression of MS forced him into early retirement. He coached youth sports for many years and truly enjoyed being around and helping kids, especially those who didn't have much. Tom loved fishing and hunting and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was loved and will be missed by many.
Surviving are his wife- Deborah Drake ; 2 sons- Jody (Lori) Drake & Justin (Regina) Drake, both of Wilmington; 7 brothers- Robert (Brenda) Drake, Steven Drake, David (Sandra) Drake, James (Donna) Drake, Daniel (Cindy) Drake, Patrick (Bonnie) Drake, Timothy (Jennifer) Drake; 3 sisters- Julie (Kenneth) Watkins, Rebecca (John) Lephart & Marianne Romhr; 6 grandchildren- Bailee Drake, Brandon Keller, Brittany Keller, Brad Keller, Kaitlyn Partin, Emily Partin; and a great-granddaughter- Brylee Vanscoy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 Noon, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 North Mulberry Street at Locust Street, Wilmington with Rev. Michael J. Holloran officiating. Interment will follow in the New Burlington Cemetery, New Burlington, Ohio.
Friends will be received from 11 Am until the time of services at the church on Thursday, March 16. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington has been entrusted with the arrangements.
