O. Matthew "Matt" Miller

O. MATTHEW “MATT” MILLER, age 65, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10:30 p.m. at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on May 8, 1951 in Marietta, Ohio to Andrew and Marilyn JoAnn Kuhn Miller Bishop. He was a graduate of Caldwell High School, obtained an Associate’s degree in electrical engineering from Marietta College, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Franklin University in 1983. Matt proudly served his country is the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. Matt retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation after 15 years as a highway technician. He was a member of the St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell, Ohio, and had attended St. Coleman of Cloyne Catholic Church in Washington CH. Matt was also a lifetime member of the VFW. He enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals, building, working with his hands, and most importantly, being with his family and grandchildren.

Matt was preceded in death by his parents and son, Terrance Andrew Miller.

Survivors include his loving companion of 30 years, Missy Doyle Wilkerson; children, Jill Elizabeth (Greyson) Kohrs, Tavia (Paul) Kettles, Adam (Alicia) Miller, Travis (Dana) Wilkerson, and Tiffiney Wilkerson; grandchildren, Natalie and Audrey Durr, Braydon, McKenna, and Caleigh Kettles, Trenton Henize, Avya Shreffler, Tesla (Devon) Nourse, Emma Miller, and arriving soon, baby girl Miller, Kalub Wilkerson, and Maddison Potter; aunt, Mary Davis. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 4-7:45 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home, 223 W. Market St., Washington CH, OH 43160, a time of sharing memories will follow with Chaplin William Sangley officiating. There will also be a viewing held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1036 Belford St., Caldwell, OH 43724, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Father Chester Pabin officiating, burial will take place at the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
